Max’s acting work has seen him perform lead parts in the West End productions of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Woman in Black and One Man, Two Guvnors. He has performed at over 50 of the country’s leading regional theatres including Chichester Festival Theatre, Theatre Royal Windsor and Norwich Theatre Royal. He has also toured extensively, most prominently with Shakespeare company, Propeller. On screen he has appeared in The Witcher (Netflix), Downton Abbey (Carnival Films) and Dream Horse (Film4). Currently he can be seen in a national television campaign for Suzuki e-Vitara.
Max is the founder and Artistic Director of Scoot Theatre, known for bringing dynamic, fast-paced performances to unconventional theatre spaces. Scoot’s most recent production was an adaptation of Quentin Blake’s Mrs Armitage on Wheels, which enjoyed three national tours.
Max was previously Lead Producer for Farnham Maltings where he was responsible for the creation of all in-house productions for the Arts Council-funded venue, including a brand-new musical by double Olivier-Award winning composer Darren Clark and a new adaptation of Christmas in Exeter Street, which he also directed.
He is an experienced facilitator and tutor and has taught extensively at some of the country’s leading drama schools, including Central School of Speech and Drama and Drama Studio London.
