Jo Gray

With over 25 years HR experience in a variety of organisations within the UK and abroad Jo spent the latter 17 years looking after the HR needs of the UK division of Royal HaskoningDHV.  She enjoyed the operational side of her role so much she purposefully declined the more strategic directorship role.  Passionate about the development and wellbeing of people in the workplace Jo set up and formalized the L&D function ensuring programmes were bespoke to the business where needed offering a variety of technical and much needed softer skills courses.  In the last couple of years Jo’s priorities were about establishing a wellness culture within the organization, implementing several wellbeing initiatives and benefits these included bi-annual health checks, wellbeing workshops including DDI and Stress management.  Shortly before moving on Jo convinced the organization through a carefully researched business plan and budget to have fully trained mental health first aiders in every office which are now in place since January 2020.  These MHFA’s have been extremely beneficial to employees not withstanding the unprecedented raft of uncertainty and isolation that Covid 19 has brought to individuals.

Jo’s absolute conviction about not just looking after people in the workplace through development, excellent leadership, culture and wellbeing but prioritising people in recognition that they are any organisation’s most important asset led her to Harrison Assessment Talent Solutions.  Jo now uses HATS as an integral tool to encompass all of these very important factors to any organizational development.  She is a highly experienced development and leadership trainer and wholeheartedly believes that people leave managers not organisations.  Her experience covers all levels including the C Suite.
