8 Reasons why learning business NLP, particularly in a recession, is a no-brainer!

Learning NLP business skills now is an absolute no brainer. Here are 8 reasons why –

  1. It’s cost effective. NLP business skills are generic which means they can be used across a wide spectrum of scenarios – leadership, presentations, people management, sales and marketing, negotiation, team building, team leading, decision making, facilitating and coaching. So if you are wondering how to invest your budget think of NLP as the multi vitamin of training and of course drilling down will lead to specific vitamins for specific needs.
  2. Value for money. It doesn’t take long for smart people to realise that the NLP business skills learnt in one context are applicable to a whole range of other contexts both business and personal.
  3. Changes made using NLP skills are fast, effective and long lasting. The way you think determines your behaviour and results. Working at the level of thinking is a much more time effective and powerful way to create positive change because one change of thinking has an impact on a multitude of behaviours.
  4. Learning NLP is like lifting a veil. Such is the awareness that learning NLP creates, people are often astounded and sometimes embarrassed by what they didn’t realise before about themselves and their own abilities as well as those of others. In our experience people responsible for the development of others who have NLP skills are far more effective than those that don’t.
  5. Treats people as individuals and builds on their talents. NLP doesn’t use labels or boxes to restrict development. It treats people as individuals and offers a real tool kit for developing potential.
  6. In a recession a third of market leaders will topple from their position. 15% of today’s market leaders rose during the last recession (Harvard Business Review– 26 March 2009). Business NLP skills will help your people to ensure that your organisation becomes a market leader when the economy recovers.
  7. It encourages creativity. Now more than ever your people need to see things from different perspectives. NLP skills will help you and your people to think outside the box and open up possibilities.
  8. It encourages engagement, motivation and drive. Engaged, motivated people work hard and are more productive because they enjoy their work. Smart organisations know that this has a very positive impact on the bottom line.
