I had a real problem with time management which was getting in the way of my career. I like to think I am entrepreneurial and besides my day job I have a number of business ventures on the go. By using an NLP timeline technique I have been able to sort out my time management issues and I can now plan effectively and have stopped rushing around like a thing possessed. Outside Old Street tube 11am......on my way to one of my 'infamous' clients who likes to keep suppliers on the back foot! Objective.....to come out, having seen the client, feeling good and having had a positive impact on them! Well I've had a chat (and listened) for nearly 30 minutes with the main buyer/chief aggressor discussing the future of corporate reporting and print.....I saw another side of him and likewise showed him another side of me! So whilst my Dunkirk, Bobby Moore66, Rocky 4 attitude is great and I'll never lose that side to me.......I realise it's not always the way to be!! By behaving differently and taking both the client and myself out of the usual 'verbal gladiator bout' a much better outcome was achieved! (Oh and I picked up £16,000 worth of immediate work). I really enjoyed the Real Success course and can only praise the delivery of it by David and Pat. I hope to attend the next stage and am looking forward to learning with Quadrant 1 again. I have been on Real Success and Real Leadership which were both very insightful and powerful. These programmes taught me a lot about myself and took time to embed. The skills help me in day-to-day life and in achieving objectives. I have learnt how to recognise and deal with internal tugs and now I understand that these internal tugs are about me and not necessarily about the actual circumstance/person that has triggered the tug. The course has given me a sense of satisfaction in dealing with certain people/situations and an immense amount of control.
